We offer a wide variety of products you can sublimate and apply heat transfer vinyl to, and there are discounts for bulk orders. If you use a lot of vinyl in your creations, you can also order that in bulk as well, saving you both time and money.

If you want to be able to offer more personal options to your customers, you can always set up a crafting station at your show and bring along your cutting machine and a mini heat press. Don’t miss out on sales because you don’t have exactly what someone is looking for ready to go. By creating it on the spot, you’re giving your customer what they want, and providing excellent customer service. You’re also showing off your capabilities and talent.

Think about how diverse the list of people you shop for each holiday season is. What are you considering for each of them? What do you offer that would be suitable? Be a one stop shop for your customers- help them check people off their lists by offering unique, personal gifts that appeal to a wide variety of people.

Have you already started preparing? Share your ideas and creations in the comments. Or is there something you’d like to offer, but are unsure of how to successfully execute it? Let us know and maybe we can go over it in a future Facebook Live.

All About Transfer Paper

Transfer paper allows you to create your own custom heat transfers that you can iron on or adhere with your heat press. It comes in a variety of sizes and is durable and completely washable.

transfer paper (1)

With no purchase minimums, you have the freedom to create custom t-shirt designs for a single customer, or a group, which is important for new businesses as well as those that are already established. Whether you need inkjet transfer paper for a standard inkjet printer, or you’d rather create your iron-on transfer designs with an inkjet printer, we have you covered.

The Jetpro Soft Stretch Inkjet Paper comes in 8.5×11 and 11×17. It produces soft, supple, vibrant, and washable ink jet printed transfers for white and light colored fabrics. It can be used to apply designs and photographs and can be trimmed to reduce the transfer of the background.

3G Opaque Paper comes in 8.5×11 and 11×17. This also produces vibrant and washable transfers but are suitable for dark fabrics. Like the Jetpro, you can use it for basic designs as well as photographs and the design can be trimmed to reduce the transfer of the polymer background. (This transfer paper is not recommended for Hewlett Packard and Dell Printers).

Lasersoft EZ Peel transfer paper comes in 8.5×11 and 11×17. It is the only laser transfer available that allows the inks to absorb into the surface of the coating of the paper. The coating then acts like a shield and later bonds the inks to the fabric fibers without using a plastic film offering a high quality, soft solution for laser transfers.

Clc Paper comes in 8.5×11 and 11×17 and works with both oil and non-oil laser printers. This paper is great for transferring high-resolution photographs and images onto dark materials. Garments with a tight weave work best.

CI Trimfree comes in 8.5×11 and works only on solid, light colors. This is the first single step transfer paper and has been developed to release the polymer coating only in areas that have toner coverage where the image is pressed to the fabric. This makes it so you don’t have to trim your design before pressing it to your garment. Images will stay bright and vibrant, even after continued washing and the paper will print on both oil and non-oil laser printers.

Image Clip Laser Paper comes in 8×10.5 and 10.75×16.75. It works best on light garments and handles full-color designs very well. This paper is self-weeding, so there is no need to trim the excess paper as there will be no background to your printed design, although this paper is a two-step process.

Image Clip Laser Paper for dark, solid garments comes in 8×10.5 and 10.75×16.75. Just like the Image Clip for lights, there is no need to trim the excess paper as this paper is self-weeding. But this paper is not designed for transferring photography.

Just keep in mind, since there are so many different makes and models of printers we cannot guarantee the results on any one printer. We suggest that you check with the manufacturer in regards to using transfer paper.

Are you a regular user of transfer papers? Which type is your favorite? Do you have any additional tips? Please share with us in the comments!

Heat Press Tips for HTV (and a GIVEAWAY)

Did you recently purchase a Heat Press? Congratulations! A heat press can take your business, or personal crafting, to a whole new level. Our TransPro Heat Presses are ideal for applying heat transfer vinyl (HTV), transfers to t-shirts, jackets, mouse-pads, tiles, and more.

Today we are sharing  5 tips to help get you started using your heat press with heat transfer vinyl (HTV) and giving one lucky customer a chance to WIN a TransPro Mini Heat Press!  Head to the bottom of the post and see how to enter.

5 Heat Press Tipsto get you started& a GIVEAWAY! (2)

1 – You want to make sure the press is set to the proper temp and time for the specific vinyl you are using. You’ll also need to know whether to peel the backing off when it’s still hot, warm or if you need to wait till it has cooled. You can find both answers on our website.

2 – While you are designing and cutting your image, turn on the heat press so it can warm up to the desired temperature.

3 – Once your heat press has reached the desired temperature, place the garment on the bottom plate and press it for a few seconds to warm up the material, remove any moisture from the fabric, and get rid of wrinkles.

4-Be careful when deciding on placement for your design- if possible, let the seams from the neckline, sides, sleeves, and bottom hang over the side of the heat press as seams can get in the way resulting in uneven pressure. This could cause the vinyl not to apply correctly.

5 – If you are planning to layer two different colors of vinyl, be sure to set your heat press for half of the time it calls for. You’ll press the first color for a few seconds; then you’ll add your second color, and press it for the full length of time listed on our website. Make sure that all HTV is protected by the clear backing and your nonstick sheet.

Now that you know the basics for pressing vinyl the possibilities are endless! Show us your creations by using the hashtag #proworld on Instagram.
